・You are able to show a visitor in to a tatami room
・You are able to have a visitor sleep over in a tatami room
・You are able to use a tatami room for a place to have tea ceremony and flower arrangement practices
・You are able to have Buddhist altar in a tatami room
・You are able to set up dolls for Girls’ Festival or dolls for Boy’s Festival
・You are able to rest on tatami either to lie down or to sit straight with your legs folded under you without any pain
・You are able to use it as a bedroom
・You are able to have a kotatsu in winter (a table with an electric heater underneath and covered by a quilt)
You are able to use it for a number of purposes.
If you have a big Japanese style room done for two rooms continuance,
・You are able to have special events such as marriage ceremony, an event of exchanging betrothal gifts, wake, funeral ceremony
・You are able to have dining or lodging for a big group of people
